Europe called theirs the Silk Road.

What Do Australians Call Ours?

The New Milk Road describes the modern web of trade routes that link Australia with China.

These routes transfer what people in China need from strategic related industries that include Australian Food, Agriculture, Resources, Healthcare, Education, Tourism and Technology.

WHY MILK INSTEAD OF SILK?

The best milk in the world is produced using artisan craft skill by people in Tasmania – similar to the way silk used to be made in China.

Demand for more premium Tasmanian milk, Australian food and agriculture grows larger virtually all of the time from China.

Money from China flows south like “New Milk” to Australia to buy more products & services and as investment capital.

Milk flows north & south now like silk flowed east & west before.

This is why milk is the best metaphor to describe this different relationship.

CHINA FOOD SAFETY

The Chinese Government established a program called “China Food Safety.”

To attain a sufficient level of food safety as high as Australia, China needs and will build its own modern World Class Food System.

Big questions are “when” and “how.”

Australian farmers and primary producers are agribusiness experts and in the best commercial position to help China turn their dream into a reality.
